What will my day-to-day look like?

• Primary function: To be responsible for all delivery routes by managing and dispatching appropriate staff. Secondary function is to act as a reliable communication link between the sales team and customers.

• Schedule all deliveries daily

• Manage truck load within DOT regulations

• Maintain adherence to union contracts (where applicable)

Maintain RTA compliance - OPs maintains

• Maintain GPS Data - OP's maintains

• Impart safety policies/procedures to staff

• Maintain adherence of OSHA regulations

• Plan delivery routes efficiently

• Schedule appropriate employees/vehicles for deliveries

Maintain accurate delivery log book and review weekly - Drivers are responsible for log books

• Manage customer will-call - we do not manage will calls

• Act as a conduit between the sales team and customers during deliveries

Assist with deliveries when necessary - dispatch does not do the physical deliveries

• Follow-up with customers to ensure satisfaction

• Performs other duties as assigned


What are the requirements?


• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously

• Written and verbal communication skills

• Customer relations skills

Ability to operate all trucks and lifts - do not operate equipment

• Time management skills

• Must have knowledge of OSHA and DOT requirements

• Knowledge of locale to facilitate well routed deliveries

• Knowledge of Allied product lines

• Computer skills


What will give me an edge over other applicants?


• Experience with logistics and distribution

• Experience in the building products industry is preferred

• Bi-lingual (preferred, not required)
