Coastal Construction Products, A Beacon Supply Company is seeking a Regional Vice President, Waterproofing West Coast.  This position will be based in our West Coast footprint with specific location flexible. This role reports to the President of the Waterproofing Division.  Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Position Description:

The Regional Vice President for the Waterproofing Division, West Coast is responsible for leading all aspects of the operating and financial segments of the West Coast organization.  This leader must possess a track record that demonstrates an ability to provide leadership and vision in support of all three.  In addition to managing the 14 branches that make up the West Coast Region, you will have two Market Managers as direct reports, and you will have dotted line responsibility to work effectively with afunctional support team that focuses on Marketing and Sales, Supply Chain, Safety, Fleet, Credit, Finance, and Human Resources.  You will oversee the implementation of operational budgets and forecasts while pulsing and analyzing the business plan throughout the fiscal year.

  • 115+ employees including functional staff with two direct reports.
  • 14 branches, divided into 2 Markets across CA, AZ, ID, CO, WA, OR, UT
  • Branch structure includes the following:   Branch Manager, Assistant Branch Manager, Inside Sales, Delivery and Warehouse teams.



Detailed Responsibilities:

  • Lead safety in all areas of the business.
  • Consistently achieve revenue and profit goals as accounted for in the Regional P&L.
  • Work effectively with the Sales Leaders to develop a World Class Selling organization that focuses on share gain and a professional operational sales team which fully leverages our digital platforms, including Beacon Pro+ and Sales Force.
  • Lead selling and marketing efforts in support of company growth goals including 5 to 10% organic growth and 10 to 15% acquisition growth annually.  
  • Hire, train, retain and develop the employees throughout all levels of the organization to ensure we have the best team on the field
  • Engage in continuous improvement to ensure safe and efficient daily operations
  • Facilitating effective communications within the organization both at the regional and corporate levels.
  • Overseeing direct cost management.
  • Providing asset management of capital equipment and inventory.
  • Develop and implement pricing strategy with the Pricing team in support of margin goals.
  • Work with the Sales Leaders on strategic alignment with favorable manufacturers.
  • Work with credit team to assess risk and manage customer credit relationships.
  • Ensure compliance with all policy and procedures.



The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

As Regional Vice President, the right individual must display initiative, passion, a strong work ethic and the ability to lead, plan and manage change. The right candidate must also possess excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills. It will also be vital for this role to be able to function effectively, influence and gain consensus at all organizational levels. The right candidate must have solid organizational, time management and prioritization skills.


  • Bachelor’s degree in business, industrial distribution, sourcing, logistics, marketing, supply chain management, finance or related area.  MBA is preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years management experience in capacities of increasing responsibility including sales management, general or branch management and multi-site management.
  • Strong Executive Acumen with previous P&L accountability / responsibility. 
  • Capacity to oversee a complex, geographically diverse operation and the technical skills to function as an individual contributor, mentor and coach.
  • Ability to set and meet high standards of service and to develop a work force that embraces a culture of quality, service and safety.
  • Personal integrity and exemplary ethical standards with a strong commitment to achieving a high level of personal and organizational success in business conduct and relations.
  • Tolerance for and the ability to perform in stressful and ambiguous situations.
  • Ability to interpret and administer policies and procedures consistently and objectively.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and process orientation.   
  • Strong ability to work in changing environment, see through complexity.
  • Willing to travel at least 50%.
