REGIONAL SALES MANAGER

<span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">I.     Primary Function

<span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">The Regional Sales Manager will drive sales/marketing initiatives to ensure top line new sales growth in a region. Successful candidates must have the ability to build peer relationships within the region, mentor sales representatives, implement marketing programs, develop new product lines and creatively assist the Regional Manager to get the best performance from the sales force.

 

<span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">II.    Key Responsibilities

  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Lead team of outside sales representatives in a designated region
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Create programs to drive sales and market share with new and existing customers including but not limited to drywall contractors, builders, etc
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Ability to interact effectively with drywall contractors, architects and build long-term relationships
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Develop sales plans and forecasts to achieve region objectives in alignment with company guidelines
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Partner with corporate Marketing team to implement/execute marketing programs
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Analyze customer base in assigned region and provide strategy to grow business according to market conditions
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Will spend over 50% of the time in the field coaching and mentoring the sales representatives
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Participate and represent the company at tradeshows
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Monitor and report on market trends
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Utilize internal sales reporting tools to drive sales representatives to meet sales goals
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Overnight travel as necessary
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Performs other duties as assigned

 

<span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">III.  Professional Skills

  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Negotiation skills with ability to express company’s position clearly to close prospective deals
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Presentation skills and follow through
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Ability to pay close attention to detail
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Organizational skills
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Skill and proficiency in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Quickbooks

 

<span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">IV.  Experience

  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">5 + years of experience in sales/management
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Experience in the wholesale building material industry preferred
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
