District Manager

The Mid-Atlantic region is looking for a Virginia District Manager to drive engagement, sales and margin.  We are looking for a motivated, driven top-performer to help us maintain and grow.  This role will oversee 15 branches throughout Virginia; it can be based at any of the 15 branches (preferably Richmond or Northern Virginia branches).

  

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for building, maintaining and supporting a culture aligned with Beacon Core Values
  • Takes an active role in selection, leadership development and succession planning for District staff
  • Oversees multiple profit centers (operations, admin, etc.) for all assigned branches
  • Directly leads Branch Management staff who have P&L responsibility
  • Works closely with the Sales Management team to drive sales and provide an excellent customer experience
  • Reviews trends to determine the appropriate customer and product mix with guidance from Regional Vice President (RVP)
  • Partners with Customer Financial Services (Credit) team to determine customer strategy
  • Leads District Dispatch teams to develop an integrated strategy for deliveries
  • Develops and executes a 3-year strategic growth and increased profitability plans for District with the approval of RVP and Divisional President
  • Promotes teamwork both within local team and across the region
  • Develops and maintains a strong relationship with vendors
  • Ensures that all company policies and procedures are followed
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Required Experience:

  • Five to Ten years’ experience in Branch Manager or Similar Role
  • Experience in the building products industry, preferred
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Management, Marketing or similar field.  Can be substituted for experience directly related to this position.
  • Managerial/supervisory experience
