Commercial Sales Manager

Job purpose

 

The owner representative position is responsible for cultivating relationships with owners and property managers of multi-family and commercial properties. The owner representative provides product and system recommendations, sets the contractor bid list, notifies the low bidder of the owner’s selection, and supports the job to completion.

 

Duties and responsibilities

 

  • Responsible for the overall performance and development of assigned regional or national owner & property management accounts
  • Provide accounts with material specification advice, qualified contractors to bid, and full support of the company’s resources to supervise the project to completion
  • Adapt in multiple technology platforms that enable the creation and development of relationships, digitally
  • Develop new business opportunities by traveling to every market within the areas of responsibility to generate new business
  • Develop new prospects and provide private project opportunities for our company and loyal customer base
  • Observe and benchmark other with other owner reps within the company to establish best practices within your assigned portfolio
  • Create the opportunity and work with the local low slope product managers to handle the quotations and material deliveries
  • Log all activity and project follow-up to win or loss stage through Sales Force for visibility purposes
  • Work with regional and/or national accounts in assigned area, gaining a complete understanding of their needs
  • Serve as a Team Lead and/or may direct and lead the work of others
  • Uses Salesforce and Tableau reporting to help manage portfolio
     

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s degree with 10+ years of experience in the field or in a related area
  • Proficient with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures
  • Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
  • Knowledge of exterior building products (preferred)
  • Complete understanding of business, financials, products, & markets within areas of responsibility
  • Top producer, ability to manage large/dynamic accounts
  • Salesforce & Tableau experience (preferred)
  • Adequate skill with Microsoft products such as Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Maintains a valid driver's license
     

Working conditions

 

  • Extensive travel requirements to properly cover the territory and meet with prospects and existing customers
  • Office work to be completed remotely and/or available branch offices in responsible markets

 

Physical requirements

 

  • Individual must be physically able to meet the job duties and responsibilities
  • Clear communication and high activity are essential
