IT Programmer Analyst


The primary responsibility of this job will be to play a vital role in our expanding usage of Ivanti ISM initiatives and other related projects that will leverage technology to drive internal business process optimization. This role will need to collaborate with the user community to design, develop, and implement Xtraction dashboards, and to look for repetitive patterns of incidents to utilize quick actions or knowledge article resolutions. This role will also be essential in supporting daily user activity and critical business processes.


Duties and responsibilities


  • Design, develop, and implement Service Request, Tasks, and Incident process solutions
  • Maintaining/updating existing ISM content, leveraging multiple data sets in creating new content
  • Creating and updating ISM data sources
  • ISM collaboration with other departments regarding LDAP syncing, UKG importing, and quarterly reviews of existing processes
  • Collaborate with the user community to design, develop, and implement technology solutions across multiple business functions that positively impact the bottom line; Includes identifying ISM needs, facilitating workflow development and Service Request offerings, developing data sources, and building reports and dashboards through ISM queries and Xtraction
  • Provide user support for Production issues
  • Develop, enhance, and leverage your leadership and project management skills by participating in large, medium, or small project teams focused on delivering business solutions leveraging technology
  • Work effectively in a virtual team environment and demonstrate high ethical standards
  • Keep current on new technologies and personal productivity tools




  • 3-5 years’ experience in Ivanti ISM development, including Workflow creation, Incidents, Service Requests, Knowledge, SLA configuration, Tasks, Business Objects, and the Xtraction reporting tool
  • Working knowledge of ISM best practices and ongoing knowledge of latest ISM features, preferred
  • Ability to work in concert with other Ivanti team resources such as EPM and ITAM
  • Proficient working with Ivanti ISM components such as Service Catalog, Incident management, Asset management, and Knowledge management
  • Experience working with technical ISM components such as:  business rules, client scripts, UI policies and macros, script includes, catalog items, workflows, web services and reports
  • Ability to work effectively in a virtual team environment
  • Strong analytical problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrates high self-motivation and initiative and is comfortable in a fast-paced, get-it-done environment.
  • Professional written and verbal communication skills
  • Exceptional customer service and time management skills
  • Proficient skill with Personal Computer Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)


Working conditions


  • Minimal travel requirements as needed for business purposes
  • Off-hours support may be necessary on a regular or ad hoc basis; Includes evenings and weekends
  • Work assignments may be completed remotely


Physical requirements


  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer and/or keyboard
  • Heavy methods of verbal and auditory communication via phone, virtual calls, and/or email
