Supply Chain Manager

Job purpose


In this role, you will work with the Senior Supply Chain Manager to support the North Atlantic Region leadership and business locations.  Primary responsibilities include the management of a team of Supply Chain Analysts, oversight of purchasing activities, replenishment, and inventory control within the Region.  In addition, you will collaborate both internally and externally to ensure that all service levels and Company objectives are met.


Duties and responsibilities


  • Work with the Senior Supply Chain Manager to develop and drive an overall efficient and effective strategy for the purchasing function within the region / division.
  • Lead Inventory Management activities.
  • Direct purchasing activities to ensure targets are met and quality is maintained as per service level agreements/operations metrics
  • Manage actions to reduce material costs, create greater efficiencies or better-quality resources
  • Accomplish department objectives by managing a team of direct reports and influencing business units
  • Oversee the purchasing process and build relationships that foster effective purchasing arrangements with vendors and division leadership.
  • Drive sourcing initiatives aimed at improving productivity and efficiency to support company and account growth.
  • Provide analytical support for division leadership and supply chain projects, including data collection, data analysis, score carding, and supplier market research.
  • Lead process improvements to address key program challenges and to increase our ability to deliver upon our commitments.
  • Conduct purchasing and inventory trend analysis, performance tracking, and reporting.
  • Communicate, collaborate and align with Regional Vice President and associated business locations on purchasing and inventory management.
  • Responsibilities for approximately $250M+ in spend.




  • 5+ years of purchasing and/or sourcing experience, preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Distribution, Purchasing, Business, Finance, or related degree
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and process orientation
  • Strong project management skills
  • Strong ability to work in changing environment, see through complexity
  • Strong influencing and coaching skills. Proven experience in developing and coaching a team
  • Solid experience with quantitative and qualitative analysis within financial analysis
  • Understanding of strategic sourcing, process, supplier implementation, and change management best practices
  • Demonstrated successful experience in working in a demanding, high-performance work environment
  • Proficient skill with Personal Computer Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
  • Professional written and verbal communication skills
  • Comprehensive knowledge of business acumen, financial concepts, and procedures


Working conditions


  • Travel requirements up to 25% and / or as needed for business purposes


Physical requirements


  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer and/or keyboard
  • Heavy methods of verbal and auditory communication via phone, virtual calls, and/or email
