I.     Primary Function

 

In this role, you will make certain that inventory is correct and purchasing is fluid. 

 

II.    Key Responsibilities

 

  • Coordinate the control of building material inventory in the branch office
  • Assist Supervisor on purchasing of smaller volume items (ie Showroom items)
  • Perform physical inventories
  • Coordinate / perform cycle counts and the tracking of non-stock, slow moving and dead inventory
  • Assist with an exit plan on slow and dead moving inventory items
  • Responsible for receiving all purchase orders 
  • Work closely with the sales force and others in the branch
  • Reconcile inventory and investigate any discrepancies found in counts
  • Equally share in the responsibility of answering the branch phones
  • Responsible for proper bin locating and maintaining all item codes in the Trend system
  • Assist in maintaining the open purchase order and transfer reports
  • Process and enter into Trend all returned materials for A/R accounts

  • Must have excellent ability and previous experience reconciling inventory and investigating any discrepancies
  • Experience working with high volume of product movement both in and out of the building
  • Experience troubleshooting issues
  • Warehouse background and shipping / receiving experience
  • Experience with cycle counts, physical inventory and bin locating
