Talent Acquisition Partner, University Relations 

We are looking for a driven Talent Acquisition Partner to lead our university relations efforts. You'll source and attract talented students and alumni for internships and to grow the pipeline for our leadership development programs enterprise-wide. 

You'll be front and center in driving the Beacon Building Products diversity and inclusion strategy by developing effective relationships with HBCUs, HSIs and diversity partners.

You'll participate in the planning process to identify and define hiring needs, source talented candidates through events and advertising campaigns, interview potential candidates, and monitor newly recruited employees and interns.

Talent Acquisition Partner, University Relations Responsibilities:

  • Assessing the hiring needs of the company and developing job descriptions and specifications accordingly.
  • Designing and implementing recruitment strategies such as events and social media campaigns.
  • Researching hiring trends and compiling recruitment reports and presentations.
  • Sourcing talented candidates through a variety of means including events on and off campus, advertising, and databases.
  • Maintaining relationships with universities, student and professional networking organizations, and recruitment networks.
  • Screening resumes and scheduling interviews.
  • Managing and conducting interviews with shortlisted candidates.
  • Managing all administrative tasks such as updating recruitment databases, hiring profiles, and applicant documentation.
  • Hosting and attending college career days, class presentations, and conferences.


You should have at least 3 years experience developing and executing university relations strategies to attract students and alumni. Critical thinking skills and the ability to effectively evaluate talent against requirements are important to your success in this role.

  • A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Human Resources or similar field of study is preferred.
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in  recruitment with emphasis on university relations and diversity and inclusion.
  • Sound understanding of the recruitment process and university databases.
  • Good understanding of talent management systems
  • Excellent marketing and advertising abilities.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, networking and communication skills
  • Experience with designing and conducting interviews.
  • Sound knowledge of recruitment practices, and market trends
