Sr. Manager - Digital Merchandise (Remote)

Job purpose

 

The primary purpose of this position is to own the strategy and roadmap of digital merchandising and product information for our company website, application, and other digital channels that utilize our digital catalog.  This role will oversee the process to bring product onsite, optimize search, and improve product digital discovery. They would need to create, maintain consistency in, and adjust product data requirements. This role is expected to collaborate with other stakeholders and vendors to improve the online buying experience. This position will report directly to the Director of eCommerce.

 

Duties and responsibilities

 

  • Drive eCommerce merchandising strategies and catalog across all Beacon sites and channels.
  • Collaborate with supply chain teams to assure product assortment is reflected online accurately.
  • Create and maintain a merchandizing roadmap that will meet or exceed company revenue and profitability goals.
  • Participate in defining and refining the online shopping experience, including site UX architecture, taxonomy, browsing and buying features, product views and details, and other key eCommerce elements.
  • Collaborate with private label stakeholders to discover opportunities and improve visibility to drive sales and adoption.
  • Continually evaluate search through in-depth analysis, ensuring optimal results.
  • Maintain attributes effecting customer facing and online experience in a timely manner.
  • Analyze customer buying behavior to improve product recommendations, cross sells, and collections.
  • Identify unique opportunities to improve merchandising for specific lines of business and product types.
  • Serve as the business and product owner for implementing new merchandising capabilities for the entire lifecycle from planning through post-launch measurement.
  • Report on established KPIs and identify opportunities to implement optimizations to increase digital adoption, transaction frequency and average transaction size.
  • Collaborate with customer service and other internal stakeholders to answer product questions and understand opportunities to enhance the online catalogue.

 

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in related discipline required
  • 8+ years of digital merchandising, ecommerce, or related experience
  • Strong understanding of eCommerce site merchandising capabilities with experience driving merchandising strategies
  • Experience with best practices in the product online lifecycle
  • Experience with product recommendation capabilities, taxonomy structure, and search capabilities.
  • Experience with marketing B2B technology products or services and understanding of technical aspects of SEO
  • Strong aptitude for interpreting and communicating analytics and measurements.
  • In-depth knowledge of how to execute continuous improvement including site onsite process, search efficiency, and product findability.
  • Strong skill in critical thinking, problem solving, and logical application.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to adapt to a fast-changing environment.
  • Proficient skill with Computer Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
  • A high-energy, positive attitude with the drive and motivation for continual improvement
  • Highly developed interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills  
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team setting

 

Working conditions

 

  • Minimal travel requirements as needed for business purposes
  • Work assignments may be completed remotely and/or available company offices/branches within respective markets

 

Physical requirements

 

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer and/or keyboard
  • Heavy methods of verbal and auditory communication via phone, virtual calls, and/or email
