Senior Applications Analyst

Job purpose

This remote working opportunity for a Senior Applications Analyst will collaborate with the user community to design and implement technology solutions across multiple business functions that positively impact the bottom line. These tasks and other business process optimization projects will ultimately drive business value and improve user productivity. This role will also play an important part in supporting the day-to-day user activity and critical business processes related directly to our ERP system as well as ancillary software systems fed by the ERP.

Duties and responsibilities

• Collaborate with the user community on business process optimization projects that positively impact the bottom line.
• Design and implement technology solutions and strategies that ultimately drive business value and improved user productivity.
• Supply user support for Production issues.
• Aiding teammates with testing and validation of new development.
• Assisting with full life cycle implementations of new IT initiatives.
• Work effectively in a virtual team environment and prove high ethical standards.

Qualifications

• Degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or equivalent professional work experience.
• Strong background in multiple functional areas ideally within a Distribution or Manufacturing environment.
• AS400/IBM iSeries ERP package experience is preferred.
• Experience in Business Intelligence, EDI, and Integration tools is a plus .
• Professional, hardworking, positive attitude with a willingness to learn and apply multiple technologies to creatively exceed the customer’s expectations and drive business value.
• Quick learner with strong problem-solving skills that can produce quality work in a timely fashion.
• Time & work management skills with an awareness of project lifecycle, project planning and organization, project control and contingency planning skills.
• Demonstrates high levels of self-motivation and initiative and is comfortable in a high paced, get it done environment.
• Proven track record of successfully implementing software solutions for the betterment of organizations.
• Solid potential with personal interest to develop self and expand role within the organization.
• Proficient skill with Personal Computer Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
• Professional written and verbal communication skills.

Working conditions

• Minimal travel requirements as needed for business purposes.
• Working space will be in a quiet open environment seated possibly in a cubicle.
• Work assignments may be completed remotely and/or available company offices/branches within respective markets .

Physical requirements

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer and/or keyboard.
• Heavy methods of verbal and auditory communication via phone, virtual calls, and/or email.
