Marketing Specialist

The Marketing Specialist position will be responsible for performing a wide range of duties pertaining to planning, implementing, and executing core marketing strategies. This position will work cross-functionally with Digital Marketing, Market Research,
E-Commerce, and our Private Label teams as needed on core projects. This will require a strong ability to project manage and the capability to complete multiple projects with minimal oversight. We are also seeking a strong leader to help us expand our presence with the Spanish-speaking contractor. The Marketing Specialist will report directly to the Director of Marketing.
Duties and responsibilities
- Develop, assist, and manage the execution of key Beacon internal and external strategic promotions
- Support the sales and operations teams at Beacon through strategic tactics and key projects
- Create, track and report internal and external customer incentives and promotions utilizing Excel and data platforms Salesforce and Tableau
- Key project examples could include:
- Develop sales tools and materials
- Develop strategic promotions that drive trial and growth of customers; includes development of creative ideas, management, execution, and after-action analysis
- Strategic data analysis to find insights and to drive ideas and direction
- Addressing local / regional sales opportunities through key tactics
- Explore and implement sports marketing partnerships
- Assist in the development and execution of conferences and events
- Provide insights and assistance to private label brand to drive brand adoption
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in technology, business, or related field, preferred
- Fluency in conversational Spanish with translation capabilities
- Strong project management skills with proven ability to specify, execute, and deliver projects on time
- Strong ability to solve customer problems in innovative ways
- Strong business process design skills and through attention to detail
- Proficient skill with Personal Computer Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
- Proficient skill with Adobe Creative Suite preferred
- Professional written and verbal communication skills
- Comprehensive knowledge of Marketing acumen and current procedures
Working conditions
- Minimal travel requirements as needed for business purposes
- Work assignments may be completed remotely and/or available company offices/branches within respective markets within a cubical
Physical requirements
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer and/or keyboard
- Heavy methods of verbal and auditory communication via phone, virtual calls, and/or email
