Director of Field Recruiting

We are seeking a dynamic Director of Field Recruiting whose primary responsibility is to lead all field talent acquisition strategies and activities for Beacon Building Products. This individual will lead a proactive recruiting organization to ensure that world-class leadership talent is sourced, attracted and recruited by the organization. This position will be responsible for hiring roughly 2,000 employees per year while managing the following teams and /or company initiatives:
- TA Team Leaders & Field/Office Based Recruitment Team
- High-Volume & High-Speed Continuity Recruiting Strategy
- Recruitment Process and Technology Solutions
- Diverse candidate attraction methodologies
- Metrics
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute the strategic direction, design, and delivery of field recruiting activities for Beacon Building Products
- Research and evaluate staffing practices for various client groups to determine inconsistent processes and recommend and build a more consistent and streamlined approach to improve efficiencies, boost client satisfaction levels, drive a higher quality hire, and increase our top-talent
- Scale the talent acquisition team ensuring we have the right resource allocation and ratio of people to support business demand
- Develop the recruiting team to be a team of subject matter experts who proactively address and escalate challenges
- Develop best-in-class talent acquisition strategies, methods to drive functional recruiting/workforce planning, candidate engagement, interview & selection
- Leverage innovative technology for potential market research, sourcing, and candidate engagement initiatives
- Partner with other TA Leaders to oversee the Company’s Recruitment Marketing Strategy & Vendor Management
- Assess and design diversity and inclusion efforts to increase our ability to source and secure the best and most diverse talent to drive our company’s growth initiatives
- Leads and directs field team of roughly 15 people
- Participate in the development and establishment of department goals, objectives, and systems that directly impact HR strategy and overall business plans for the Company
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in business with 5+ years in proactive people management
- Experience with HRIS systems (ATS, CRM) selection and integration along with the use of metrics and data analytics to inform and drive business decisions
- Can advocate for the company brand across numerous markets and professional communities while maintaining excellent relations with hiring managers, candidates, and the community at-large
- Experience working cross functionally in a matrixed organization
- Strong leadership skills in a virtual setting
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience is required; Master’s Degree or equivalent preferred
- 3 years of retail work experience or exposure with warehouse experience preferred
- Previous experience with managing 4-10 direct reports; reporting directly to the VP or C-level executive
- Ability to complete multiple duties with accuracy shifting from one to another with frequent interruptions and competing for deadline
- Ability to visualize and plan objectives and goals strategically
- Willing to travel up to 40% of the time
