Logistics Manager - OTC Applications (Remote)

The Logistics Manager – OTC Applications is responsible for effective implementation & support of Beacon’s internal routing & dispatch system Beacon Track in the North Division.  This role will interact with field operations regularly to drive full adoption by leading trainings and providing timely issue resolution of support inquiries.  This will involve partnering with field and functional leadership teams to support successful tactical deployment.  In addition to Beacon Track, the Logistics Manager – OTC Applications will provide functional support to implementing as well as training for centralized dispatch (CD) as a part of the On-Time & Complete (OTC) initiative.


Duties and responsibilities

  • Provide subject matter expertise for dispatching through Beacon Track & proper usage of driver devices
  • Lead virtual and in person trainings to dispatchers, drivers, and other key stakeholders
  • Troubleshoot and resolve user issues involving Beacon Track & driver devices
  • System Testing during upgrades & new implementations
  • Provide timely and effective responses to inquiries submitted through Beacon’s internal support system
    • Serves as the escalation point for any support tickets requiring higher level attention
  • Analyze usage data to reveal areas with opportunities for improvement
  • Proactively reach out to field operators to drive adoption & best practices
  • Share updates and feedback from field during internal meetings
  • Conduct thorough testing of new programs as well as new modifications, versions, or upgrades to systems.
  • Process data entry requests & conduct system audits
  • Provide cross-functional support of the On-Time & Complete initiative which includes but not limited to the training and implementation of centralized dispatch (CD)
  • Communicate any vendor issues with leadership




  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field
  • 4+ years experience in related industry
  • Experience with routing software such as Appian or Roadnet or any other transportation routing software for multi-stop deliveries
  • Ability to lead and direct change management
  • Organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of employees-both written and verbal
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, web-based applications, and ability to learn new systems
  • Demonstrates an ability to develop good relationships with internal customers
  • Must have flexible working hours to meet training request times in the field
  • Required to be able to travel up to 25%
