District Manager

NOTE:  This position can be based from any location within the South (Ohio) District.

POSITION OBJECTIVE:  Responsible for managing, operations and sales of identified branches within the region territory.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  1. LEADERSHIP
        • Provide leadership and direction for branch managers.
        • Implement the company’s best practices in each branch to help promote an efficient and seamless operation.
        • Work closely with branch managers and their salespeople to help them reach their goals.
        • Conduct branch reviews, measuring budget performance, AR, inventory performance, etc.
        • Instill a proper safety culture. Involve branch managers in our safety program, keeping safe work habits a priority.
        • Implement/enforce/reinforce corporate and regional policy within their branches
        • Executing the initiatives that support RVP’s goals for the region. 
        • Develop current BMs, future BMs, and encourage recruitment of strong talent into the business. 
        • Interviewing/hiring as well as training BM’s on the process.
        • Provide guidance and assistance to sales directors and product mangers within the region that are focused on sales growth and effectiveness.

 

  1. P&L RESPONSIBILITY
        • Work with branch managers for sales projections and budgeting responsibilities.
        • Responsible for vendor relationships within their territory Work with key vendors to build relationships, develop programs, etc. 
        • Evaluate branch and territory inventories
        • Operations Management: Continuous benchmarking to improve branch efficiency and effectiveness of the branch operations.  Provide oversight on process and procedure. 
        • Responsible for delivering the financial goals of their area of responsibility by analyzing and managing the P&L.

 

  1. COMPLIANCE
        • Review exception reports in accordance with internal audit requirements.
        • Review and facilitate voids and credits within the approval levels of the company.

 

  1. ALL OTHER DUTIES – Perform all other duties as assigned including carrying out responsibilities, performing duties, using skills and working in conditions necessary to perform all assigned tasks.

    3. Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.  
    4. Be able to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical solutions.

    2. Ability to manage time and work duties effectively.
