<span style="font-family:"Cambria",serif">We are currently seeking a Commercial Building Material Specialist in our branch to a<span style="font-family:"Cambria",serif">ssist customers complete sales transactions and stock building materials and supplies.

 

<span style="font-family:"Cambria",serif">The Responsibilities Include:

 

  • <span style="font-family:"Cambria",serif">Manage main phones in a prompt and courteous manner.
  • <span style="font-family:"Cambria",serif">Provide quality service to commercial customers using clear communication skills.
  • <span style="font-family:"Cambria",serif">Provide inside commercial support for Beacon Columbus OH branch and outside sales reps.
  • <span style="font-family:"Cambria",serif">Track large commercial projects.
  • <span style="font-family:"Cambria",serif">Obtain job quotes from vendors.
  • <span style="font-family:"Cambria",serif">Build and distribute job quotes to our commercial contractor customers.
  • <span style="font-family:"Cambria",serif">Process orders accurately and in a timely manner to eliminate unnecessary credits.
  • <span style="font-family:"Cambria",serif">Work with vendors and branches to coordinate jobsite deliveries.
  • <span style="font-family:"Cambria",serif">Communicate with credit for job accounts and bonding situations.
  • <span style="font-family:"Cambria",serif">Responsible for time off requests, yearly performance reviews and day to day management of office staff.
  • <span style="font-family:"Cambria",serif">Be the main contact for any issues involving cross functionalities (supply chain, credit, finance, HR).
  • <span style="font-family:"Cambria",serif">Receive payments in cash, check, or credit card and follow all Company procedures in processing all payments.

  • <span style="font-family:"Cambria",serif">Physical Demands -The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.  While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

<span style="font-family:"Cambria",serif">The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

 

  • <span style="font-family:"Cambria",serif">Preferably a BS in Marketing/Sales, Business.
  • <span style="font-family:"Cambria",serif">Two years of Industry (or) Industry related experience in Commercial Roofing and Residential Roofing.
  • <span style="font-family:"Cambria",serif">Two years prior outside roofing sales or Inside Sales experience (preferably in the building material distribution industry).
  • <span style="font-family:"Cambria",serif">Must have experience in the building material distribution industry, particularly selling commercial roofing products, with demonstrated success in those products to a local contractor base.
  • <span style="font-family:"Cambria",serif">Mincron operating system.   Ability to learn software package.
  • <span style="font-family:"Cambria",serif">Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Internet, Word, and Excel.
  • <span style="font-family:"Cambria",serif">Products: Residential & Commercial Roofing, Residential Siding and Windows (Vinyl & Wood).
  • <span style="font-family:"Cambria",serif">Must posses the entrepreneur spirit, be self-motivated, and enthusiastic about our business.
  • <span style="font-family:"Cambria",serif">Must have excellent customer service skills and attitude.
  • <span style="font-family:"Cambria",serif">Must be detailed oriented and possess excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • <span style="font-family:"Cambria",serif">Must be analytical and able to solve problems.
  • <span style="font-family:"Cambria",serif">Must have good verbal and written communication skills.
  • <span style="font-family:"Cambria",serif">Must be ethical and honest.
  • <span style="font-family:"Cambria",serif">Must be dependable and have a current state issued driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record.
