Regional Human Resources Director, South Atlantic

We are seeking an experienced Human Resources field leader to support the South Division, South Atlantic Region. The position is responsible for approximately 550 employees located in over 40 locations across the states of North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee and Kentucky. A key part of the South Atlantic leadership team and the Human Resources function, this role reports directly to the South Division Vice President, Human Resources for the South Division and indirectly to the Regional Vice President. Position will be the based out of a location in one of our major markets, Charlotte, Raleigh-Durham, Nashville preferred.
The Responsibilities Include:
- Manage HR Operations for exempt and non-exempt teams including staffing, training, leadership/employee development and coaching, career planning, workforce development, performance management, salary planning, talent development, succession planning, employee relations and overall human resource compliance.
- Drive continuous improvement and change initiative across the organization
- Actively manage organizational talent and workforce planning processes
- Participate in organization wide human resources initiatives including leadership and employer of choice efforts
- Create and implement a positive employee relations program at all locations
- Demonstrated ability to lead Engagement and Retention initiatives
- Effectively manage communication plans and HR strategy for annual HR processes (e.g. Performance Management, Salary Planning, Talent Reviews)
- Provides HR Policy guidance and interpretation, employee and labor relations guidance, and day to day performance management guidance to line management (coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions)
- Manage leave of absence process and transitional duty process
- Facilitate resolution of payroll and timekeeping administration issues
- Provide guidance and compensation recommendations for new hires, promotions, transfers.
- Partner with Regional Safety Managers to ensure effectiveness of company safety programs and initiatives.
- Participates in administrative staff meetings and attends other meetings and seminars. Maintains company organization charts and employee directory.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Bachelor's Degree. Masters preferred.
- 6-8 years of full scope human resources management experience required, with related industry experience preferred
- A minimum of five (5) years of leadership experience, with increasing responsibility in developing, implementing, and managing programs leading a team and organizational function, preferred
- Demonstrated ability to solve complex and ambiguous business problems leveraging data analysis and modeling. Big picture thinker who anticipates future trends and consequences and creates competitive strategies and plans.
- Demonstrated experience relationship-building and consulting with leaders, including identifying needs, developing action plans, identifying deliverables, and presenting results/recommendations to achieve strategic/operational goals.
- High degree of organization and ability to simultaneously manage multiple competing projects and priorities.
- Experience breaking down complex processes and identifying key pain points to deliver business improvements.
- Development and use of change management methodologies and/or models to implement organizational change initiatives
- Excellent facilitator skills.
- Demonstrates a sense of urgency to overcome obstacles and achieve measurable results. Resourceful and driven.
- Ability to interact easily with all levels within the organization; high level of collaboration and influencing skills.
- Superior ability to deliver results in a highly matrixed organization.
- Must be able to think and act strategically, but also be willing to “roll up sleeves" for all HR functions.
- Willing to travel up to 50%.
