Strategic Pricing Analyst – South Division (Remote)


Strategic Pricing Analyst will support Beacon South Division operations by enabling and driving the execution of pricing strategies through high impact financial analysis. This position will drive operational excellence by innovating pricing processes and communicating effectively on multiple levels. This role will partner with branch and district managers, finance, supply chain and other key functional decision makers to provide in depth strategic pricing analysis and robust insights/analyses/guidance to drive and deliver executional pricing excellence resulting in organizational confidence in customer pricing.


Position Responsibilities

  • Leverage internal reporting tools and systems capabilities to build and communicate best practice solutions
  • Become a subject matter expert (SME) for pricing advanced analytics and reporting
  • Partner with branch and district managers on pricing decisions and recommendations through analysis and insights that are consistent with the Beacon’s strategic pricing objectives
  • Report on Pricing Key Performance Indicators for the business, and provide repeatable, sustainable, actionable insights and accountability touch points for the branches
  • Develop branch/district/regional reporting packages to guide/influence/drive strategic decisions
  • Analyze price relationships between products
  • Partner with line of business (LOB) management teams to create profitable pricing strategies
  • Collaborate with senior management to implement new pricing initiatives
  • Creatively explore and recommend new revenue drivers, and identify GM leakage areas


Minimum Requirements

  • Demonstrated proficiency performing complex financial modeling with MS Excel, experience with Tableau preferred
  • Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new or evolving pricing or financials tools and systems as required
  • Curiosity to proactively identify aberrations in performance data and analytical skills to identify the root causes
  • Strong Communication & Interpersonal Skills– must effectively communicate complicated analyses, techniques, and results to non-statistical audiences of Director-level Executives and below and earn credibility with stakeholders
  • 3 - 5 years related experience
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Ability to travel up to 15% - Variable depending on needs
