We have an outstanding opportunity for a FP&A Analyst to support the South Division.  The South Division consists of over 130 branches spanning the Mid-Atlantic and Southeastern states of the U.S.  This critical role on the South Division’s FP&A team will be responsible for key reporting during the month-end close, own the divisional customer incentive process, and engage in various ad-hoc projects to support the business. 


Duties & Responsibilities


Monthly Reporting:

  • Timely preparation and analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual results
  • Provide a broad variety of analysis including but not limited to variance analysis, product line analysis, trending analysis, customer/vendor/item-level profitability analysis, etc.
  • Analyze and evaluate highly complex financial data from different computer systems and interpret information for the purpose of determining financial performance/trends
  • Communicate and present financial results and various analytical reports to branch, region, and division leadership


Customer Incentives:

  • Lead the customer incentive process (from end-to-end) for the entire South Division
  • Calculate the earned incentive for each customer on a monthly/quarterly/annual basis and ensure payment is processed in a timely manner
  • Prepare various customer-facing reports to provide status updates on their incentive targets


Other / Ad-Hoc:

  • Provide ad-hoc financial support for the Division President and Vice President of Finance
  • Participate in strategic initiatives to support the South Division’s leadership team




  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting; CPA or MBA is a plus
  • 2-5 years of finance or accounting experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (i.e., Excel, PowerPoint, Word) is required; an advanced understand of Excel is preferred
  • Demonstrated success working in a demanding, high-performance working environment with a team-oriented culture
  • Ability to be a collaborate business partner and cultivate strong cross-functional relationships
  • Strong critical thinking skills with experience in anticipating management’s potential questions and next steps
  • Demonstrate a high-level of attention to detail
  • Proactive self-starter and independent worker
  • Ability to analyze large volumes of data, summarize in a clear and concise manner, and provide insightful analysis and commentary for senior management
  • Up to 10% travel may be required


For the right candidate, this role is eligible to work remotely.  It is preferred that the candidate lives within the South Division’s footprint though.
